Side 1: Jim Bolus interviewed Frank Whitely on his upcoming Derby prospects. Trainer LeRoy Jolley discussed his 1962 Derby horse Ridan and his 1975 entrant Foolish Pleasure. Mr. Buxton discussed his father's career as a jockey and his current crop of horses in training. Trainer Woody Stephens recounted his memories of Earl Sande and his current horse in training.
Side 2: The interview with Stephens continued. Jockey Jimmy Stout recounted his memories of the 1936, 1937, and 1939 Derbies. Stout also discussed Earl Sande, Jim Fitzsimmons, and William Woodward. Jockey Johnny Longden discussed the 1950 Derby in which he rode Your Host. Bolus discussed a Supreme court case that concerned Emprise, which concerned running a racetrack, with two unidentified men.
